Alanya Private Boat

Comparison

Private boat or pirate boat in Alanya?

A pirate boat is a themed, shared boat trip with many other passengers and a lively atmosphere; a private boat is your own boat for up to 12 guests, from €580 for the whole boat, at your pace. Children who love a show often enjoy the pirate boat; families and groups who want calm and control usually prefer the private boat.

Two very different days on the water

Both leave from Alanya and both put you on the sea. Beyond that they are built for different moods. The pirate boat is about the theme and the crowd. The private boat is about your own group and the coast.

Neither is the right answer for everyone, so it is worth being clear about what each one is.

A good way to choose is to be honest about your group's mood.

The pirate boat

A pirate boat is a large shared boat dressed up in a pirate theme, where you travel with many other guests. For children who enjoy a show and noise, and for adults who like a busy, sociable day, that is the point.

The programme, the stops and the price are set by the trip itself. Our sister site describes the Alanya pirate boat trip with its own details and prices.

The private boat

The private boat takes only your group: up to 12 guests for six hours along the castle headland, the Red Tower and the sea caves, with swim stops in quiet bays. The captain adapts the route to you, sea and weather permitting.

It is from €580 for the whole boat, with captain, crew, fuel, mooring and hotel transfer from central Alanya districts included. Dates are on the private boat page.

The atmosphere is whatever your group makes it: quiet and family-focused, or lively with friends. Nobody else on board sets the tone.

With children

This is where the choice matters most. Some children are thrilled by a pirate theme and a crowd; others get tired and overwhelmed. On a private boat you can stop to swim when they want to, keep them on deck if they prefer, and slow the day down without asking anyone.

Children count as guests on the private boat, with no separate child fare; give their ages when you book. The children guide has more.

For a celebration

A pirate boat can be fun for a birthday if your group enjoys a party among strangers. If the celebration is about your own people, the private boat keeps the deck for your guests only. Food, drinks and anything special must be arranged in advance; the celebrations guide explains how.

Choose the private boat if you want your group alone and a pace you control; choose the pirate boat if your children or friends want a lively, themed day among many people.
