A boat day and a hamam day in Alanya: how to plan both

A private boat day and a Turkish bath (hamam) are not rivals; they are two very different ways to spend a holiday day in Alanya. The boat is six hours at sea with your own group, from €580 for the whole boat; the hamam is a slower, indoor ritual of warmth and washing. Plenty of holidays have room for one of each.

Why people compare them

When you have a limited number of holiday days, you choose between experiences. The boat and the hamam both promise relaxation, so they often end up on the same shortlist.

They relax you in different ways: one with sea air, swimming and views, the other with heat, steam and quiet.

Choosing between them is less about which is better and more about what kind of rest you need on that particular day.

The private boat day

The private boat takes your group for six hours: past the Red Tower, under the Alanya Castle headland, beside the sea caves and into quiet bays to swim. You are collected from your hotel in central Alanya and brought back afterwards.

It takes up most of a day, so plan it on its own. How the six-hour day runs shows how the time is spent.

On the boat you can swim, snorkel with the masks on board and rinse off under the freshwater shower, or simply sit on deck and watch the coast.

The hamam

A Turkish bath is an indoor ritual: warmth, steam, washing and rest. It suits a day when you want to slow down, or the end of a holiday when you want to feel looked after.

Our sister site explains the Alanya Turkish bath, with its own programme and prices.

Planning both on one holiday

The simplest plan is to keep them on separate days. Book the boat first, because the date and pickup depend on our confirmation; then place the hamam on another day that suits you.

Booking the boat is a request: you choose a date on the private boat page, our team confirms it with the pickup time, and you pay on the day in euros. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the start.

The full process is in how to book the private boat.

Leave the hamam for a day without a fixed pickup, so you are not watching the clock on either day.

  • Book the boat first and wait for confirmation
  • Keep the hamam for a separate day
  • Pack swimwear, towel and sun protection for the boat day

If you can only choose one

Think about your group. A family or group of friends who want to be together outdoors will get more from the boat. Someone travelling to rest, or who prefers not to spend a day in the sun, may get more from the hamam.

Choose the private boat if you want a day outdoors on the sea with your own group; choose the hamam if you want a quieter, indoor day of rest.

Questions guests ask

Which should we book first?

The boat, because it needs our confirmation and a pickup time. Then fit the hamam around it.

Is the boat day too long to combine with something else?

The trip lasts six hours, with hotel pickup and drop-off, so it makes sense to keep the rest of that day light. Book on the boat page.
