Can you choose the route of a private boat in Alanya?
Yes, within limits. The private boat follows a known stretch of coast — the Alanya Castle headland, the Red Tower, the sea caves and swim stops in quiet bays — and the captain adapts the route and stops to your group's wishes, sea and weather permitting.
What is fixed and what is flexible
The setting is fixed: the coast around the Alanya peninsula. Within it, the order, the pace and the time spent at each place are flexible. That is the core difference between a private boat and a shared trip with a programme for everyone.
The trip is planned around this stretch of coast, and we do not promise a named beach, a distance or a sailing time between points.
Think of it as a known coastline with a flexible plan. The places are the same for every group; how your day moves between them is up to you and the captain.
Things you can ask the captain for
Tell the captain at the start of the trip, and say if your wishes change during the day.
- More time beside the castle headland and the Red Tower for photos
- A slower pass by Pirate Cave, Lovers' Cave and the Phosphorus Cave
- More swimming and less sightseeing, or the reverse
- Quieter stops for small children or older guests
- A particular moment for an occasion, such as a proposal or a toast
What the captain decides
Sea and weather come first. The captain decides on the day what is sensible, and the route can change for conditions. That is why we never promise entering a cave or a fixed number of swim stops.
In practice, that freedom works for you: if one bay does not suit on the day, the captain chooses another. You get a route shaped by the real conditions rather than a fixed plan that ignores them.
If the captain suggests a change, it is for a reason on the day. The same applies the other way: if something does not suit your group, say so, and the plan can be adjusted.
How to plan your wishes before the day
If something matters to you, write it in your booking request so the team knows in advance. Then repeat it to the captain when you board.
To see what the coast offers before you choose, read the castle and sea caves guide.
For the water, see swimming and snorkelling from the boat.
For how the time is usually spent, see how the six-hour day runs.
Be specific. 'More swimming' or 'longer at the caves' is easier for the captain to act on than a general wish for a nice day.
Your wishes, within the same six hours
The flexibility is part of what you book: within the six hours, you can ask the captain to spend longer in one place or to skip something your group is not interested in.
If you have a wish that goes beyond that, ask us before you book. The whole boat is from €580 for up to 12 guests, with captain, crew, fuel and the hotel transfer from central Alanya districts included. Check dates on the private boat page.

Questions guests ask
Can we go to a specific beach we have seen online?
We do not promise named beaches. The trip is planned around the castle peninsula, and the captain chooses quiet bays for swimming.
Can we change our plan halfway through the trip?
Yes, tell the captain. The route and stops are adapted to the group, sea and weather permitting.
Should I write our wishes in the booking?
Yes. Put them in your request on the boat page and repeat them to the captain when you board.
